How to maintain Crop health under Excessive Rain conditions?
Delay in arrival of Monsoon led to a large rain deficit upto end-June, but heavy rains since mid of July erased the shortfall. There is an uneven distribution of rains this year which has badly affected the crops like Cereals, Pulses, Cotton, Groundnut, Soybean, Vegetables, Ginger, Turmeric, Banana, etc. There have been excessive rains at many places.

Excessive rain creates water logging conditions which results in :
- Poor aeration in soils as the air spaces in the soil get filled with water
- Poor root development.
- Over dilution of nutrients
- Leaching of soils nutrients

Reduces nutrient uptake by the crops resulting into multiple deficiencies on crop.
Increase in diseases & pests attack. Crop wilts & dies in extreme wet conditions.

Cloudy weather reduces photosynthesis
Under such conditions, it becomes necessary to make save the crop and make its roots & leaves active & gradually make it capable to absorb the supplemented nutrients.
2 spray supplementations & 1 soil application becomes very effective in improving these conditions thereby resulting into healthy root & crop growth. Also wherever necessary it is advised to dig channels to drain out excess water from the field.
We suggest the following : Spray Application – ( light sprays )

After the above 2 sprays & after Soil moisture has reduced apply

If root / stem rot or wilting is observed, chemical fungicide / bactericide or Bio fungicide plus Bactericide : Triwilt – 1 Litre + Posidon – 1 Litre per Acre to be given through Drenching / Drip.
